Besides producing honey, bees play an important role in agriculture as they are crucial to the pollination of many plants.
One honey bee colony is enough to pollinate an acre of fruit trees. One honey bee produces 0,8 gr ( 1/10 of a teaspoon) of honey over its lifetime.
Honey is a 100% natural product. According to the composition of its sugars (depending on fructose and sucrose levels), honey will be thicker or thinner. Honey color and flavour will vary according to the flowers visited by the bees.
Crystallised honey never loses its nutritional quality or its flavour. To give back its velvety texture to honey, place the honey pot in hot water.
