In Quebec, delicious table grapes can be grown thanks to the work of Elmer Swenson, an American hybrid that has developed cultivars resistant to our northern climate.

The vines are part of the Vitaceae family. The grape is the fruit of the vine, it comes in the form of clusters composed of numerous grains, which are on the botanical plan of the berries, small and light in color, for the white grape (greenish, yellowish, golden yellow ) Or darker for red grapes (purple, pink or black purple). The varieties of table grapes are fleshier than the varieties of vats which they are more juicy.

The grape is a source of several nutrients essential to the proper functioning of the body. The grape contains resveratrol and flavonoids, two powerful antioxidants. The latter are mainly found in the skin. Rich in vitamin A, B and C, the grape contains many trace elements in a balance perfectly assimilable by the body.

The table grape is a flavourful fruit of flavor!

Available: mid-September
